ROAD INFO Our destination is located north of Los Barriles, by clicking on the blue word Map, and the other pages that you will encounter from that page. You will find all the required info to get to us. This been said, big low riding motor homes should take it very easy; the road is safe for the unit and passengers as long as you drive slowly. When you get to the end of the highway turn right, you only have 500 meters of paved street to your camping spot.
Children are so welcomed that camping is free for them. Pets are also welcome only if you pick after them. A "Hide-a-Way" off the beaten track between La Paz and Los Cabos. Located north of Los Barriles and Punta Pescadero but still part of the east cape region. The
shores of the
Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California) are right in front of
your suite or camping ground. The turquoise colored water gently
washing up on our sandy beach invites you to practice snorkeling, kayaking, diving, whale
watching, swimming, surf fishing, fly
fishing or
your favorite water sport or just relax on our beach.
Deep sea fishing and fly fishing
for blue marlin, stripe marlin, black marlin, sailfish, swordfish,
wahoo, dorado, rooster fish and
tuna is available using a fleet of small aluminum boats, super pangas,
"fishing machine" super fast boats and cruisers. Fly fishing, surf
fishing and bottom fishing for dorado, rooster fish, red snapper and
any other fish that comes by to bite is only a few steps away from your
suite or camping spot at Spear fishing is welcomed only if is done while free diving and hunting predators only. At El Cardonal´s Hide-a-Way we recommend "Catch and Release" if the fish can be released without any harm and practice this policy after you get your meal. Because we do not have bad currents or undertow in our region swimming, kayaking or any other water sport is very safe. Whales and dolphins are ever present in our waters and love to be looked at from the beach or a boat. At our Coral Point (said to be the best in Baja according to a world renowned underwater photographer) with its 7 different types of coral that provide food and habitat to millions of different species of marine life is the perfect place to do underwater photography while snorkeling and diving. Our sandy beach is free of vendors so you can fully enjoy the wonderful feeling of been at the beach alone in a place where the sun or the stars shine 350 days a year and where the moon comes up over the sea to provide a wonderful (sexy) romantic ambiance.
